Is it possible for a plugin that shows the live scores for europe leagues from <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.livescore.com">www.livescore.com</a><!-- w --> ?can anybody work on that?thanks
I'd be happy to build you a plugin in a similar style to the Weather Monitor News skins I've created. Give me an idea of what information you'd like to see on screen and in the tooltip, and I'll get to work.
Thank you in advanced:).For Example if you go to http://www.livescore.com/default.dll?page=greece ,i would like to see the progress(Which is updated automatically) of the matches. In the tooltip the same(like the cnn news lines). If its easy
also for the other countries.Thanx again:)
OK! Give me a couple of days, and I'll have a prototype for you. Big Grin Although, you will only be able to have details for one country (page) per plugin.
Thanks a lot.I appreciate it.I will be stand by for the resultsSmile
Back! My apologies, G1ZMO, it's been hectic here and i lost my connection for a few days. Back now, and ready to crack on with this!
No problem:)
Wow! This project hurts my head... It's a very complex page to decipher, but this just in:

Unfortunately, when I decided to grab this and post, there wasn't much on! It will eventually support the top four items per plugin, and these will be configurable for each country/league/division.

They'll stack nicely in a vertical toolbar too, as shown in the picture with my TLB Forum Monitor stacked above. I've got my "sidebars" set to Always on top and Autohide so they slide out when I get to the edge of the screen...

Any suggestions/criticisms so far?
It looks very niceSmileWhen do you think you can release it?
HorusUK, will it be possible to read the Euro2004 page? I have no clue about how configurable it will be... Smile Can't wait to test it!

Hopefully, it will be ready over the weekend. The HTML is extremely difficult to pull information from!

I hadn't planned it too, but then I have a limited knowledge of football so I wasn't looking for other uses... It's a good idea though! I'll get some background graphics together, and on the first night, I'll look at their results HTML, and see if I can put something up quickly!

It'll be quite configurable as there will need to be user modifications to the template providers file I'll be including, to parse for the correct country, etc.
The LiveScore site contains a Euro2004 page here:
http://www.livescore.com/default.dll?page=euro2004

And it was actually that page I was referring to... Wink
So maybe that's easier since it's probably in the same (complex) HTML format as the rest of that site...
You could do it with a plugin for each group.

Unfotunately, the complexity of the HTML is making this a real task. Especially as I can't put conditions into the provider file so that it's more intelligent! Ideally, we'll be able to use scripting of some sort with the Universal Monitor plugin.

Until then, I'll press on and post something here as soon as I have a plugin that doesn't seem to break every time the page is updated!
Well, after a lot of hard work trying to get the skin to stay stable, and not crash explorer.exe every time it updates, I have been forced to concede defeat.

The www.livescore.com HTML is extremely static and it's hard to build a reliable skin that doesn't break. It's clear that the Weather Monitor is not flexible enough to do what we want it to. Sad

This is by no means an end to this project. As soon as the Universal Data Fetcher is available, I'll look into this again!
livescore.com - HorusUK: 1 - 0

I'm wondering though, what causes explorer.exe to crash? It sounds more like a bug in Weather Monitor, a skin should never be able to crash the (host of the) host application!

Thanks anyway for your hard work and your time... I'm sure you will beat livescore.com in the second half Smile
