Hiding the active icons, and recovering the task bar area they take up would be a powerful addition to TLB......Perhaps they could just be located elsewhere on the desktop.

A toggle capability would probably be needed to occassionally access these icons.........although ctrl-alt-delete might already accomplish this...
Sorry, I do not understand this suggestion Sad Please can you explain it?
Active Icons take up task bar space............this limits the size of TLB

If there was a way to "hide" or remove the active icons (Icons to the right of TLB, it would free up space on the Taskbar for TLB to be even larger......
Active Icons - is this the list windows?
What i meant by active icons, are all icons of programs that are currently active.......ie icons that are not part of TLB but are in the right corner of the taskbar.......
Perhaps to help us understand. There are two areas you may mean.

the actual taskbar - which lists active programs (most people don't say active icons)

the system tray - which shows memory resident programs

You can easily expand the entire taskbar and have hundreads of True Launch Bar buttons as well as showing your active programs. There is no space problem at all.

I think Mr. Smith mentioned this FAQ. Perhaps you do not know how to expand the taskbar area.

If you mean the system tray then you can easily hide icons in the system tray.

Right click system tray / properties / choose hide inactive icons / click on customize. This way you can hide every icon in the system tray.
Wow....I hope this isn't getting more complex then it is.........

All I would like to see is NO ICONS ON THE TASKBAR except TLB........

icons that are in memory, icons that represent "active programs" and any other icons that are not part of TLB are "hidden" or placed elsewhere
on the desktop so that the entire "bottom of the screen" (Taskbar) IS the TLB.........

Just a wish........because I am suddenly driving my whole computer with TLB......I no longer use the desktop, total commander, or anything else....
I'm working on Windows list plugin that can replace the taskbar so I'll try to add this feature in this plugin.
That's the solution....REPLACE THE TASKBAR with TLB..........

But make it "switchable" in case one needs to get back to the task bar for what ever reason.....
