When you add a program to the "Common files box" in the auto sensing set up; is it supposed to add it to the Tool Bar that is shown in the toolbar folder??

If it's supposed to; it doesn't..........

If it's not supposed to; I'm not sure what the purpose of adding it is??
You can use "Common programs" list to add applications that can be used together with any workspace. Add the notepad.exe or calc.exe an when you activate NOTEPAD or Calculator TLB do not switch workspaces.
If the calc or Notepad isn't in the "working programs dialog" the TLB won't switch anyway correct? So why add it into the common area???

Auto-sensing only switches on programs that are running or active AND listed in the "working programs dialog"........correct?

Yes.

Yes. But Common area can be used to disable switching while you activate one of "common" program.

Simply example: You are working in Word. And you need to caculate something on win Calculator. You are running calc and TLB switch workspace. Yes you can add calc into workspace with Word. But you are using calc with PowerPoint with IE etc. and you cannot add calc into all that workspaces. So to disable switching you need add calc into common programs.
