Is there a way to edit context menus that have unneeded items?

Some of them (mine) are getting real long and contain a lot of unnecessary items.

Chuck Billow
You can select context menu via TLB Settings->Context Menu.

Also you can edit or create your own menus by editing context menu templates. You can find them in the TLB installation folder:
c:\program files\truelaunchbar\contextmenu
Yuri:

I saw the "TLB Settings->Context Menu.", but was entirely unclear as to how to remove (disable) items this way... I looked in the help, but it had just said "Select the context menu template...."

I'll take a look at the templates. Hopefully they will be geared to a slow-learner such as myself...

Can you maintain items in the current context menu that you want to keep? And also, can you "reset to default" if you mess up?

Using the "TLB Menu in submenu" I was certainly able to reduce the clutter somewhat... thanks.

Which of the XLM files is relevant for the "Buttons", since this was the item I changed in the TLB settings?

Can I just rem out items, or must I totally remove them?

By the way, I just want you to know that TLB is near the top of my list as the most useful utility I have (with XP-Pro) as far as making life a lot easier, and turning the Quick Launch Bar into what it was meant to be from the start.

Chuck

Each XML file have the name:
<tlbmenu name="Without Shell/Button">

If you tell me how you want to be menu looks I can prepare a template for you.
Yuri:

That's a tough one, because it is "item sensitive" -- in other words, if I right-click on a folder, one of the items is for spyware / AV scans. But if I right-click -0n a graphic shortcut, one of the items is for Paint Shop Pro.

I wouldn't know how necessarily to make that kind of selection process work.

It's OK, a lot better than OK, the way it is, now that TLB items are in a sub-menu.

Thanks,
Chuck
