Full Version: 7.3.5 RC registration problem

I installed the RC but it doesn't acknowledge my key when I enter it.

Any suggestions?
Even worse, I did a system restore as re-installing 7.3 was not doing anything and left the RC, and now 7.3 is installed but it won't accept my entered key either!

Looks like I'm going to have to do a full OS restore from an image back-up, sigh ...
Try other way to unlock TLB:
Create file tlb.ini with text
Code:
[LICENSE]
PortableKey = <NAME>, <KEY>
Replace <NAME> and <KEY> with your name and key.
Place tlb.ini into True Launch Bar installation folder. By default this is C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar

Now you can enter empty license key or restart True Launch Bar.

Thanks, Yuri, that solved the registration problem. My new problem is getting my original toolbar to get recognized properly. When I point TLB to the folder, the menus get interpreted properly but the plug-ins are not - they show up as a generic plug-in icon. If I try to reinstall the plug-in it tells me it's there already, so no clue how to make this work.

I'm installing the RC by overwriting the files in C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar with the contents of the zip.

This is a mistake. ZIP file contains the portable version. Usually it is used outside folder C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar. Also the plugins installtion is but different in portable version.

It is easy to make your version non-portable: just delete the file "C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\portable" and restart TLB.
