Few days ago I've updated Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 'release candidate' to the final release. That has entailed shell hanging up immediately after start. The problem was solved by uninstallation of TrueLaunchBar.
Then I've tried to install the most recent TrueLaunchBar (4.1), but setup application obstinately hangs up in the process of installation. Both 'full' and 'mini' setup distributions has been tried - there was no difference.

OS: Windows XP Pro SP 2 (Build 2600)
Shell: 6.00.2900.2180
Internet Explorer: 7.0.5730.11
RAM: 512MB

While working it creates destination directory in %ProgramFiles% directory, two empty subdirectories 'contextmenu' and 'skins' and the only file 'tlb.dll'. It also creates in registry uninstall key and this keys:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\True Software\TrueLaunchBar]
"Lang"="English"
"SkinsPath"="C:\\Program Files\\TrueLaunchBar\\skins"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\True Software\TrueLaunchBar\Icons]
"Standard Windows Icons"="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\shell32.dll"

What could this be?
Sorry I can't to reproduce this bug Sad
If you are using antiviruses try to disable them before installing. Also as temporary solution you can run the command:
Code:
regsvr32 "c:\program files\truelaunchbar\tlb.dll"
This register TLB correctly.
Hmm... RegSvr32 seems to be freezing in memory too. Obviously I have to reinstall Windows :) Thanks for your reply.
