Hi, I,ve got True Lanch Bar 4.2

When start Win (XP sp2) the icons of the True lanch bar are slow to load. Why :?

In the image I have compared:
- to the left the True Lanch Bar (slow to load);

- to the right the bar of Windows (fast to load).

Why this difference??
bye
Very strange problem. What TLB version do you use? Also please can you send me the backup of the toolbar?

What do you think??

Can I resolve the problem??
Thanks Big Grin
I try to reproduce the problem with your data but can't Sad

Generally there are no differences between the toolbar positions. TLB even don't know about it's own position on the taskbar.

Maybe this problem is related to the your system.

Hi Yuri. The problem is not the position but the speed of loading of the TLB.

When start Windows, the TLB is slower than the Win standard bar.
The TLB is slow in to load the icons (you see first image).

Is there some option to check?? From my backup, second you, I have forgotten to activate some TLB option??

Thanks so much
Ste
This is my TLB settings.
Second you, is it everything ok?!?
thanks Big Grin

Sorry I misunderstood you

I know about the problem. Standard quick launch and TLB use the different ways to load the icons. I guess QL uses something like the cache. TLB don't have the cache yet.

There is the way to increase the icons loading: change the default icons to any icons in the .ICO or PNG files. Generally .ICO and PNG files loads quickly.

Ok, thanks. Big Grin
A lot of applications have the icon that belongs to .EXE or .DLL (for example: internet explorer, outlook, documents, icon program - see image).
Are these icons more slow to loading than a .ICO or .PNG icons?

If I personalize the TLB bar as you have told me and one day I delete an icon .ICO or .PNG from my computer, the TLB memorizes the icon or this disappears once cancelled?!?
thanks, bye Big Grin

Yes, but do not expect much

Yes it is will be canceled. But TLB have feature "Save icons with the toolbar". It works with ICO and PNG files only. Turn this option on when change the icon and the icon will be saved with the toolbar. Now you can even distribute the backup files into other computers - icons will be there.

This works only if I create a NEW bar.
If I don't create a new bar instead and I personalize the standard TLB bar, when I cancel an icon. ICO or. PNG is also eliminated by the bar.

Here if two options related to the saved icons
