Full Version: Menus obscure toolbar buttons

I am using standalone TLB on Windows 7.

I have toolbars with buttons which call up menus. Each menu pops up and displays vertically. But the menu obscures all of the toolbar buttons below the button selected. This makes it impossible to see the other choices offered by the toolbar buttons.

Instead of popping up to obscure the other toolbar buttons, the menus should pop up to the left of the toolbar. This does happen, if the toolbar is docked to the right edge of the screen. But it does not happen if the toolbar is docked on the top of the screen.
By default menu popups near it button, and, yes, can overlap other buttons.

Try to turn on the option: TLB Settings->Menu appearance->Disable toolbar overlap

This option force menu popup near toolbar, and all buttons will be visible.
That does not work. That causes the menu to pop up very far away from the link in the toolbar to the menu--at the bottom of the toolbar.
Also, it is virtually impossible to access the menu, because moving the mouse down the toolbar column activates the other menus as it goes along.

The solution would be to make the menus pop up at the link to the menu in the toolbar but to display to the left of the toolbar at that point.
Please can you make some screenshots to help me understand the problem clearly?
I am now emailing you two shots. One shows how the menu covers up the toolbar buttons. The other shows how "disable overlap" causes the menu to show up very far away from the button and makes it very difficult to access.

This forum will not accept the attachments, as they are too large.
Thank you, now I see problem. "Disable toolbar overlap" option assume the toolbar docked to the top/bottom screen side is horizontal and move menu to the top. But your toolbars are vertical and attached to the top.

I'll try to find the way to distinguish your toolbars layout and process them as vertical. Thank you very much!
