Here's a neat way to create a 'Search' command like in the Start menu (works on 2000/XP, didn't check 9x):
1. Open exploer, hit the search button, leave all fields blank.
2. Hit 'Search now'.
3. File -> Save Search.
4. Create a shortcut to the .fnd file.

Works under 9x, too. I did that for a Litestep theme I had on a 98 machine. Pretty sure the search program didn't change between 95 and 98.

So Omer, you completely getting rid of your start menu, too?
Yupp!
the classic start menu is too simple, and the xp start panel is too heavy and not customizable...
here's my current TLB setup... much more powerfull and works faster than any other program i've tried till now (ObjectBar, LS, DesktopX).

Great! Must be added into FAQ Big Grin
There's absolutely nothing avilable with the start menu that you can't duplicate with TLB, and TLB offers so much more. I've spent countless hours tinkering with LiteStep, and TLB is so much easier to configure and use. It's still got a little ways to go before it's "perfect" in my mind (although when it comes to my computer, nothing is ever really perfect), but it's definately by far the best program of it's kind that I've come across. Without a doubt worth the cost of registration. Great job, Yuri! Big Grin

Geeze.. I sound like a comercial! Am I getting paid for this? Wink
Yuri, i won't able to add it to the FAQ, cause i leaving for 2 weeks...
