thanks for the installer too!
Another shot
Awesome!Thanks for sharing!But I still have a problem.I don't know how the "Special icon sizes" work?How to set it?

The attachment is my screenshot.It will be perfect if the text can convert to Chinese.If the text contains Chinese,it will displayed as "?"...

Sorry for the late reply.

To use the special icon sizes just enter the number (0 - 7) as the icon size in Appearance/Button Properties, click OK then right click on the tile and run Easy Tile again.

I'll look into the language thing to see if is easy to do.

Hi Guys;

I have been watching this thread for some time now & decided to give EasyTile a try but find myself dead in the water (still at the dock so to speak). I have downloaded ImageMagick-windows.zip but have yet to find how to actually install it. There seems to be no EXE, VBS or other executable to install anywhere in the ZIP file.

What am I missing?

Thanks;

Try to download the installation package. Just run and install it. And don't forget to install "Install ImageMagickObject OLE Control for VBScript".

Thanks, Yuri. The link had the exe for ImageMagick & it is now installed.

I also selected the "Install ImageMagickObject OLE Control for VBScript" option checkbox.

I also installed your EasyTile.exe installer, rebooted the computer & launched ImageMagick but still no tiles when I right click on a TLB shortcut & select any of the EasyTile choices.

Something is still missing.

EasyTile adds the context menu into the Windows Explorer (shell) menu. So you have to select the context menu template with shell menu in TLB Settings->Context Menu. Or hold down CTRL+SHIFT and right-click to show the full menu.

Also note, EasyTile works with shortcuts only.
As it seems it isn't working anymore on W 8.1 or TLB 7.1 or with ImageMagick-6.9.0
Sorry everyone for long absence. I've been using a MAC but now on WIN10. There's a version coming soon for win10 with new tile sizes and features.

Whose brave? I've only tried this on Windows 10.

Unzip to "%APPDATA%\Roaming"
(Don't extract to "%APPDATA%\Roaming\EasyTileX alpha" as it will suggest.)

Open the new EasyTileX folder and run reg_easytile.reg

Hopefully that's it!

It works similarly as before but right clicking a shortcut will now show "Make tile" instead of EasyTile.

After you have run it once in a menu, middle-clicking will change tile colors.

Palettes are now used, stored in Palettes folder. The current palette is stored in the Colors folder. You can edit these directly but I've provided some scripts to maintain palettes for you (see EasyTileX folder). They're easy to use so give them a go, just run them.

In the screenshot/video created a TLB menu to the Colors folder then added a separator and shortcuts to the scripts.

Not all icons are showed correctly, but you can choose another in TLB.
For "metro" apps you can find the true tile icons in WindowsApps but you'll need to give yourself permission. They are all there.

If you need help let me know.

Now 20% easier

Unzip to "%APPDATA%\Roaming"
(Don't extract to "%APPDATA%\Roaming\EasyTileX Beta" as it will suggest.)

Open the new EasyTileX folder and run easytile.reg

I'ts still not working for modern apps but you can replace the appropriate icon in the EasyTileX/icons folder always override the failed icon. Get the true icon in the WindowsApps folder.

Let me know how it works for you, I've still only tested on Win10.
