It should be possible to switch the small black menu arrow on and off. I do not need the arrow (I know that it is a folder), it takes place, but I can't hide it.

Right click on TLB, select "TLB Settings...", change to "Menu Appearance" tab, and uncheck box next to "Show arrow on menu button".
