For organizing buttons within virtual folders.

User cannot select group of buttons. Only one button at time.

I think user should be able to select group of buttons. I think best combination is to follow windows standard

Shift Click to select group of buttons
Control Click to select group of non sequential buttons

If user continues to hold down Shift, buttons are moved
If user continues to hold down Control, buttons are copied

Of course these actions should automatically turn off Auto launch on hover

Yes this can strongly improve organizing the buttons. I'll try to make this feature.
