A little more testing shows me that TLB and Outlook 2003 don't get along well.

I have loaded and unloaded Start Killer and UltraMon and they didn't make a difference.

With TLB loaded, with Outlook 2003 not loaded, I click my Explorer button and get Windows Explorer.

With Outlook 2003 loaded, I click the Explorer button and nothing appears to happen. I click again and sometimes an Explorer window opens but the folder section is a large white splitter bar (the cursor changes) and no folders show. Sometimes Outlook menus stop working, sometimes clicking on URLs in IE stops working.

I unload Start Killer and can't launch programs from the Start Menu. Sometimes a window opens and immediately vanishes.

None of this happened before I loaded the RC1 TLB.

I am running Windows XP SP1, Office 2003, Yahoo Messenger, TClockEx, and TLB.

I can reproduce the problem easily - if there is more information that would help, please let me know!

Somebody have same problems too? I cannot reproduce this bug Sad

I actively use all the software you have listed with the exception of TClockEx and have none of these problems. Try runing without TClock for a while and see if that has any effect. I quit using TClock some time ago because it didn't get along well with some other programs, so maybe that's what's happening in your case. My $0.02.

I can confirm that I'm not getting this problem with Office 2K3.

I don't run Yahoo! Messenger or TClockEx, either, so I can't speak for them. Follow ShapeShifters advice, and try running without TClockEx for a while...

I use Office 2003, mainly Outlook, WinXP SP1, always latest TLB (right now v2.2.0.14 RC1), and do not have problems in conjuction w/ TLB.

I stopped using TClockEX for a while and the problem went away, but I believe that is not it. I have used it for many years and never had a problem. I have restarted it and will try for a while.

I believe the problem is related to the large number of menu/button creation and editting operations I was doing as I had just registered and installed the new version, and replaced my Start menu with TLB. All the work to create a Start menu replacement seems to have triggered the problem.

If the problem doesn't return with-in a few days, I'll try to re-create by creating buttons and editting TLB Settings like I did initially.

It's entirely possible that TClock, by itself, is very stable. However, it's also possible that TLB and TClock just don't get along well for whatever reason. My money is on the interaction between TClock and TLB.

Incidently, what TClock features do you use/like most? Maybe TLB can mimic those features (or perhaps Yuri could add them)?

Hello NetMage

Have you heard of TClock2? We have been using it for more than a year and it seems to cause no problems here. You can try it out and it is found here.
Try it and let us all know how it worked out. Smile
