When opening or exploring an item from the context menu, which isn't a shortcut, explorer.exe crashes Sad . This crash is fully reproducable. The TLB menuitem "open" however works OK. What can make this crash occur?

The plugins loaded are cmdline, mailmonitor, net monitor, media control, spacer and turnoff computer. It doesn't make a difference if startkiller is loaded or not.

Please can you post here the screenshot of context menu.

First thing I'll do tomorrow, I'm currently at another system.

Here you are.
The "open" item with the icon works correctly, "open" and "explore" on top of the menu make explorer crash.

Please tell me what are menu items:
4NT
Scan for viruses
How I can reproduce them. If possible give me also URL's to programs where I can download them.

- corny - 02-03-2004

4nt is a command shell fromJPSoft.
Scan for Viruses is an item from Network Associates VirusScan Enterprise 7.00

However, these programs where already installed before the crashes started. The thing I've changed, is running startkiller and creating my own startmenu (I've sent you my settings per email). All other programs, including TLB plugins, are the same as before...

Thank you very much for email. I've reproduced the bug. Bug appears only when you disable tips. In the next version this bug will be fixed.

Again thank you for bug report.

- corny - 02-03-2004

You're welcome. How did you ever manage to reproduce this? I wouldn't think disabling tips has something to do with this crash!

- Yuri Kobets - 02-03-2004

Enable tips and problem will be solved.

- corny - 02-03-2004

Yes, I did, and now it works correctly indeed.
But I tried to say it would never cross my mind that tips had something to do with it, so I didn't try if enabling tips resolved the problem before I sent the bugreport.
