- SewerHog - 02-25-2004 Is there a way to change the button and text background? I wish to keep the background this color. Not only when I move my mouse over it. It currently changes when I move the mouse over it. But some buttons I wish the background to remain a current color! - HorusUK - 02-25-2004 As far as I know, there's no way to set an individual backround colour for a menu item. But, Yuri is very open to suggestions and scours these forums often, so he'll probably pick this up! There's a possible workaround though. Create a background image for the menu, that matches the size of it's contents, and set it as a background image. As in this example: The grey backgrounds around the drives comes from a simple background I created. - SewerHog - 02-25-2004 No. I'm not looking for a menu background. I'm looking for the button and text background as I explained before. Are you telling me that if you set the background for a menu that the "Button and Text" background, when you first look at the toolbar will change and remain that color even though the mouse is not over it! - HorusUK - 02-25-2004 My reply was intended to show you a possible solution for your question, as you cannot change the background of an individual item. Both menus AND toolbars are skinnable, and the technique I've illustrated will work in both cases. I just happened to use a menu to illustrate it! - BlueHeaven - 02-25-2004 Regarding the change of color when the mouse hovers over an item, that is set on the Skins page of the TLB Settings. However, I believe it is an all or nothing thing. Unless I am missing something, you can't set this for individual menu items. Rick. - Yuri Kobets - 02-25-2004 You can make small PNG with the color you want and set it as Overlay Image. Stretch image too all menu and you will get needed background. - SewerHog - 02-25-2004 OK, thanks. What is a PGN? - Yuri Kobets - 02-25-2004 The picture in PNG format. - SewerHog - 02-25-2004 OK, Thanks. I'll try this... |
