Mail Monitor v1.13 beta crashes - Sam Hasler - 05-07-2005 I'm still getting a the crashing problem that I got with 1.12. If I start up the main window it often locks up straight away, especially if I've been using my PC a while and have several apps open. Or if I open it first thing after booting up I can open the window for a while start it loading my mail but then it will lock up. Last time it happened I got a "System is low on resources. Do you want to close...." message, but it had locked up and I could not see the mouse pointer, use the keyboard and CTRL+ALT+DEL wouldn't work. ...:::My System Info:::... Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 98 version 4.10.1998 Shell Version:4.72.3812.600 Internet Explorer Version: 6.0.2800.1106 TLB version: 3.2.5 - Yuri Kobets - 05-07-2005 Do you have accounts with secure commection (SSL) like GMAIL? - Sam Hasler - 05-07-2005 yes, it was trying to read 100+ GMail mails at the time ![]() I've since suspended GMail (using the firefox notifier instead). I might give it a try deleting the GMail account tomorrow when I start my PC to see if it still crashes. - Yuri Kobets - 05-07-2005 OK, please let me know how MM works without GMAIL account. There are possible incompatibles with Windows 98. - cmishima - 05-07-2005 It may be a temporary Gmail thing but I just installed the latest Mail Monitor and now I can't access my gmail accounts. Can anyone else confirm this? - Yuri Kobets - 05-07-2005 I can confirm, during some time google and gmail was down. - cmishima - 05-07-2005 Yes, Gmail has now returned. All is working correctly. It was just bad timing during installation of new Mail Monitor ![]() - Sam Hasler - 05-08-2005 Deleted the GMail account and then tried to open the main window and it crashed. ![]() Rebooted and tried again and it crashed on opening the window the second time. Mouse pointer was moving about but nothing worked, CTRL+ALT+DEL didn't bring up the usual dialog and I got a BSOD, I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to shut down as, from experience, at that point it's not going to recover. - Yuri Kobets - 05-08-2005 Please can use send me a "Mail Monitor.tlbplugin"? I've test with your settings. Before sending file select "Protect passwords" option for every account. - Sam Hasler - 05-29-2005 Bump. Yuri, have you recieved the Mail Monitor.tlbplugin file I sent? Are you able to reproduce the problem? (Sorry I should have created this in the plugin bugs forum, are you able to move it?) - Yuri Kobets - 05-29-2005 Yes I've received it. Thank you. I've found some bugs on Windows 98. - Sam Hasler - 10-21-2005 I still have these problems with version 1.14 of Mail Monitor. Will the next version fix them? - Yuri Kobets - 10-21-2005 I'm completly rewrite Mail Monitor plugin. Many bugs will be fixed, many new features will be added. I hope new version of MM will be more stable. - Yuri Kobets - 10-31-2005 Please test version 1.15 This version supports SSL in Windows 98 and I've fixed some bugs that cause the crash. Please let me know how it works. |
