Tordex Wheel add the intelligence to the mouse wheel. By default when you roll the mouse wheel Windows roll the currently active window and ignore the mouse cursor position. With Tordex Wheel Windows roll the window under the mouse cursor. So You can scroll windows, lists etc. without activating them.

Great program Yuri. lol

Moved from another thread...

One problem I've noticed with Tordex Wheel 1.0 is that when some applications are started or terminated, the mouse cursor freezes for a moment.

The same thing happens when web pages are loading in Firefox--just as the page has almost finished loading, the cursor freezes for just a moment. The same thing happens if I simply hit Ctrl+W in Firefox to close a tab. (I know that sounds odd but it is true.)

The problem is not present if Tordex Wheel is stopped.

Sorry. I installed this program but I don't see anything it does.

I use MS intellimouse software and the wheel seems to work fine.

Just what advantage is Tordex Wheel?

This means you can scroll an object in a window without it first having focus (i.e. without having to click it, select its task bar button, or Alt+Tab to it first). And in the case of the new Volume Control plugin, Tordex Wheel allows you to use the mouse wheel to change the volume, even with the Volume Control in the task bar (rather than a menu).

Well. Thanks for trying but I can't see anything that this program does. My vol control doesn't move when using the mouse wheel and as for the other stuff, I just can't seem to grasp what you mean. Sorry I'm not so bright these days.

You need to be running Volume Control 2.2 and TLB 3.2.12 beta for what I described to work.

Regarding what Tordex Wheel does, in general: Try this...

Close Tordex Wheel. Then, open an Explorer window, and expand the tree, or view a file list, that is big enough to make a vertical scroll bar appear. Click the Explorer window and scroll. It scrolls, right? Now click the task bar so the Explorer window is no longer in focus. Put the mouse over the Explorer window. Doesn't scroll.

Now redo all that with Tordex Wheel running. Explorer scrolls whether or not you click it first.

The same thing applies to many other windows/controls.

Yuri -
This is an absolutely genius tool. It should have been included in Windows 3.1 and following. You have outdone Microsoft again. We are using two monitors side by side and this is a really useful tool for us. Thank you.

- Bob Freeman - 01-14-2006

Ok I sort of got it now. It would be nice if....

1. Tordex wheel could scroll along the True Launch Bar and select buttons
2. Scroll among windows on the taskbar similar to the way Avant browser scrolls among open tabs

NOW that would be a big improvement.

- jkdclick - 01-14-2006

Woohoo, another Avant user. Lol

- Q Section - 01-17-2006

Yuri - the Run on startup is checked but it does not "Run on startup". We have now placed a shortcut in the Startup folder so it should start now with Windows.

- Yuri Kobets - 01-17-2006

Some antivirues/antispyware etc. software can block adding something into startup in the registry.

The Reg-Key for TLB Won't Work! - Guest - 04-07-2006

Hi ppl - Hi Yuri (I'm a BIG Fan - You're Awesome! - TLB is Excellent!).

I Installed Tordex Wheel but my TLB Serial / Key won't work for activating Tordex Wheel?.. (I've tried both the serial as shown in TLB Options, and also the waaay long Reg Code (that I used to Register TLB).

Note: I have the latest version of TLB...

Anyone else had this problem and found a fix?..

Any help will be awesome. Thanx
