MailMonitor Filter - Pontifex637 - 02-07-2006 There are really old bugs!! First: Create a new rule => [Add rule] Mark as: Approved, now as Normal, kick on another Rule, and now back to the approved Rule!!! And now look at that mess. Thank you, that has deleted me 100 mails of my darling!! Another Filtering Bug: I try to create a whitelistet rule. So I can add all emails of my friends and they should be never masked as spam. This is not possible, if the "mark as" is set to "Normal". But I want to let it as Normal. Edit: I think this is not understandable The Problem is, that even if a whitelisted rule ist matching, the programm goes on with the following rules! Now is possible that one of the following filters is masking that whitelistet mail as spam. A white list isn't so working. - Yuri Kobets - 02-07-2006 Quote:First: Create a new rule => [Add rule]Sorry I don't see any bug here. Please can you describe what's happened? Quote:I try to create a whitelistet rule. So I can add all emails of my friends and they should be never masked as spam. This is not possible, if the "mark as" is set to "Normal". So MM check this rule before other rules. - Pontifex637 - 02-08-2006 Really, no bug??? I've createt a new rule, not only a new filtering condition. I'm using v1.16 Beta If I'm changing the dropdown box from Normal to (Approved OR Spam OR Dangerous) and now to Normal it isn't showing any change. If I click now on another rule and then back the new rule, there is now showing that changes: [ ] Play sound (disabled) [ ] Save message to folder (disabled) [#] Run command (enabled and empty) Mark as [Spam] [ ] Mark as read (no notify) [#] Delete message from server !!!!! [#] Free message body to save memory [#] Continue with other rules I hove that you can reproduce this bug Quote:First be sure that the rule option "Continue with other rules" is turned off. However nice programm - Yuri Kobets - 02-08-2006 What is your Windows version? - Pontifex637 - 02-08-2006 Testet on Windows XP SP2 and on Windows 2000 SP4 (applyed a new MM plugin) maybe helpful, both are german. But I can also install an english version. I'm a member of the MSDNAA Projekt. But I dont think that it is an os problem. - Pontifex637 - 02-14-2006 I hope you aren't ignoring this problem. I don't know if I'm the only one with this bug. I can't believe that, because I've created a new Instance of the MM Plugin. If anyone else has this problem, it may help to fing the bug. Yuri wasn't up to now able to reproduce this bug. - Yuri Kobets - 02-16-2006 Reproduced. Thank you for detailed description. I'll release update shortly. - Pontifex637 - 02-17-2006 Thank you Yuri Re: MailMonitor Filter - Pontifex637 - 02-19-2006 The whitelist problem Pontifex637 Wrote:Another Filtering Bug: Yuri, please try this: Create a new rule, the whitelist rule. Make one or more that matches. And now, just to see the differenz, make this rule marked as green. Don't check "continue with other rules" And very important, let this rule Mark as Normal !! Now create another new rule (below this whitelist rule). Make also a filter condition that matches to one of the whilerule conditions. This rule is representing the spam rule. e.g. spam is if the subjust contains "pharmaceutical", your friend has send you an email with the subject pharmaceutical. Now it shoudn't be marked as spam. If you want, you can check this rule as spam, or by the another color (e.g. red) If the whitelist is marked as normal, the spam rule will also be executed. If the whitelist is marked as approved, spam or dangerous, the spam rule will not be executed. My intention is to create a whitelist but without visual marks. I hope this detailed explanation will help you again, to eliminate the bug. Additional Information If "Free message body to save memory" is check is works, also with masked as normal. - Pontifex637 - 02-20-2006 I'm only asking for remark :? - Yuri Kobets - 02-21-2006 I've reproduced this bug too. Thank you very much! |
