Upper right hand button problem - Nisko - 08-18-2006 On my Toolbar, I now have several rows if Buttons. The upper right hand button, when clicked on, opens to show me shortcuts to apps. I have many buttons like this. However, with this button only, clicking on the "arrow" opens the menu only momentarily and also opens the app whose icon happens to be under the cursor when I click. The flyout menu should stay open and allow me to pick the app I want. I have my mouse set to double click with the left button. I tried to set it to single click - but had the same problem. Can you help? Thank you............ - Nisko - 08-18-2006 Yuri, I seem to have fixed this problem by moving the entire Toolbar slightly closer to the right (near the Tray area). It is working OK now - but it doesn't make sense. The two flyout Buttons just below the one that was giving me a problem were, and still are, working fine. Any ideas what else might cause the problem? Thanks....... - Yuri Kobets - 08-21-2006 please can you post a screenshot please? - Nisko - 08-21-2006 Yuri, I've never posted a screenshot. Please tell me how. Also, I'm having trouble with my PC being very slow. I have to find out what's wrong before I send the screenshot. Hope it's not a virus. - Yuri Kobets - 08-22-2006 Quote:Yuri, I've never posted a screenshot. Please tell me how. When you write the post, you can find "Add an Attachment" section under "Post a reply" (see screenshot). Click the "Browse..." button and select the file with screenshot. If you don't know how to make screenshots try WinSnap. It's free and nice utility. - Nisko - 08-22-2006 Thanks, Yuri..I installed WinSnap. Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll try to learn how to use it. In the meantime, I found out why that virtual folder is acting that way. When I click on the arrow, the folder opens and shows the icons (large) for the apps within. That flyout ends up both above and below the cursor - so that one of the icons is below the cursor. Consequently, TLB thinks I want to open that app. So, the app opens and the flyout disappears - almost instantaneously. Don't know if that can be corrected in the future. Also, the problem with the To Do List went away after rebooting. Thanks...... - jkdclick - 08-23-2006 Who introduced you to Winsnap Yuri? Just joking with you! - Nisko - 08-24-2006 Yuri, when I click on a that button, the flyout shows then disappears so fast that I can't get a screenshot to send you. Not unless there's a way to delay the flyout for a 500ms or more - time for me to get my cursor out of the way of the flyout. - Yuri Kobets - 08-24-2006 well, press PRINT SCREEN key on the keyboard and paste picture into any graphics editor. - Nisko - 08-24-2006 OK...here is the screen. - Nisko - 08-28-2006 Yuri, does the screenshot help you understand what I mean? - Yuri Kobets - 08-29-2006 Screenshot not help But maybe the problem can be solved if you unlock toolbar? right click the TLB and select "Unlock buttons". |
