TLB Host pops up - Mike J - 08-01-2007

I have Tlbhost docked to left side of my screen. There are many times it “pops out’ for a second when not expected. Something unknown is causing it to gain focus, I guess. But the only time I can always duplicate, is when I have any other window open, then right click taskbar and “show the desktop”, then left click on the taskbar.

Running WinXP SP2 and latest TLB 4.2.1 (previous version was same way). This is not of great importance, but it does get a little annoying. Thanks.

Mike

Actually I just realized, if there are no windows open, I can just left click desktop then left click taskbar for same result. I have behavior recorded to flash if that would help (it gave me an excuse to play with new screen capture software Big Grin

Thoughts? Suggestions? Need more info? Unfortunately I didn't notice behavior until after I purchased, now I have a gut feeling like I made a mistake not using the full trial period! No support for me? This unintended popping out is more and more annoying, especially when it pops out and covers the Start menu.

Can you attach the video or screen shot?

I have attached a zipped (edit: wmv) file showing described behavior. Note poor quality due to upload restrictions, but I think you can still tell whats going on -

1) first I have an open, unrelated window, then I click "Show Desktop" on taskbar,

2)I go back and forth clicking taskbar/desktop a few times. You can see TLB doing it's thing without activation from my cursor.

3)Then I go to Start menu, click between that and my desktop a few times, and not hard to see TLB popping out directly on top of the start menu.

Also note that this is not the ONLY way to make it do this, it's just the easiest for me to duplicate. This actually happens at various times throughout my daily activities. Sometimes I try to duplicate these odd occurances, but I can't recall exactly what steps I took.

Thanks for your reply. I was really hoping someone would have an interest in my problem.

Was trying to play nice, but - If this cannot be fixed, or even commented on *geez, didn't think I was asking much*, could I at least get a refund, as this annoying product is of no use to me as-is.

Thank you, I just wanted some acknowledgement of the problem, thats all. Well, at least until next build.
