[BUG] Battery Monitor 1.4 small CPU spikes - johnye_pt - 11-15-2007

Hello.

I decided to restore Windows XP from the backup DVD in my Acer laptop just this week, because i had just replaced the battery and added internal bluetooth, and also because i was having a weird bug in the form of 10% cpu spikes every 5 seconds. This spikes interfere when watching video, playing games or even typing. It felt like the entire computer micro-paused every 5 seconds.

After restoring, i started reinstalling all my programs again, always checking task manager to monitor cpu levels. The spikes returned after running TLB with 3 plugins (diskspace, net monitor and battery monitor), and after a process of elimination, battery monitor was guilty as charged. Battery Monitor was configured with the default options (update every 20 seconds).

My Specs:
- Acer Aspire 1683 WLMi
- Pentium M735 (1,7ghz)
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB
- HDD 80GB
- DVD+-RW DL
- 2x1GB Kingston DDR 333Mhz
- Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG
- Bluetooth Broadcom BCM2035

I'm using Acer ePowerManagement that replaces Windows XP Power Options, don't know if that is relative.
