Kaspersky detects Worm.P2P.generic - hawkwind - 06-23-2009

Hi, i have just tried to install True Launch Bar and when the install takes place Kaspersky pops up saying it detects Worm.P2P.generic.

I have downloaded it from this page http://www.truelaunchbar.com/download.html

This happened twice i think whilst the plugins were being installed.

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them.

I have actually bought a license yesterday from the bits de jour offer as i used TLB some time ago and liked it but could not afford to buy it at the time so i took advantage before the offer ran out.
it is not due to cracked software just in case anyone may think so Smile

Regards.

Try to test file on virustotal. I'm sure this is the false positive, no AV on virustotal report viruses even the Kaspersky.

BTW Kaspersky on virustotal have "2009.06.23" update. Maybe you need to update Kaspersky's signatures?

Yes Kaspersky was up to date.

I originally installed in a virtual machine.
I have now just installed again another VM this time without the plugins and no warning came up from Kaspersky.

This definately happened whilst the plugins were being installed so i will have to install them one by one to see which one(s) cause the alarm so as the false positives can be corrected in Kaspersky.

I have just installed all plugins that i chose the first time, one by one, and no alerts whatsoever from Kaspersky at all.

Must have been a blip somehow in Kaspersky`s detection.
