4.4.3 Scroll Bar Explorer.exe Crash - reed1 - 01-22-2010 Hello I'm new here. Purchased TLB couple days ago ( lucky me 30% disc. still applies that time ) and very satisfied with the result however, if I use scoller bar (limit the maximum size on menu) , it actually works, and navigating with mouse scroll also works, but when I tried to click or drag the scrollbar, it said "explorer.exe has topped working". It's always like that. I'm using TLB 4.4.3 (Beta) Win 7 Professional x86, actually I've changed the theme but the default theme also has the same problem. Here's the windows event log : Code: Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16404, time stamp: 0x4a765076 Thank you - reed1 - 01-29-2010 Just reinstalled my system to test wheter it will work on fresh installation. But unfortunatelly it didn't work either Anybody has the same problem with me? Is my windows installation corrupted ? Does TLB 4.4.3 have to be like that on win 7 ? Am I doing something wrong ? Please help Thank you - Yuri Kobets - 01-29-2010 Is this the only menu that cause the crash? Other other menus also have this problem? I try to prepare the fixed version and post it here. I can't to reproduce the bug, but I've found some bugs in the code that can cause the crash. - reed1 - 01-29-2010 Yuri Kobets Wrote:Is this the only menu that cause the crash? Other other menus also have this problem? OK, I tried to create new menu in same Toolbar Folder, crash. No difference. But when I tried to create new menu in different TLB it works lol. Then I tried to copy all shortcut from the old one and It also works : Scrollbar doesn't trigger windows explorer crash. Maybe there's bug somewhere but it can be solved by making a new Toolbar with the exact same setting, it will work. Thank you : ) - reed1 - 02-02-2010 === UPDATE === now I know that the combination "limit height" & "hide tips" is the problem. When tips are disabled, scrollbar will cause explorer to crash, but when tips are not disabled, everything works - Yuri Kobets - 02-02-2010 Thank you very much!!! Now I've reproduced this bug and can fix it \/ - reed1 - 02-04-2010 Great !, glad to help Sir, and If I might add this one also , the scrollbar cannot go lower than in the pic : well if it hasn't been addressed thou , Thanks again ! |
