I absloutely love TLB (I have v1.2.6 rc3) EXCEPT that I can't get it to see my skin. I created the skin using one of the included skins as a template, and saved everything under a different directory in the skins folder. When I try to select the skin from the drop down list on the TLB settings dialog, it's not there! I've tried refreshing and rebooting. I can download skins off the web site and they work just fine. I tried copying everything in my skin's directory to a working skins directory, but when I do that, that skin disappears, too! I tried opening up a working skin's tlbskin.ini file, pasting in all my settings, saving, and copying my bitmaps over to that directory, and once again, the skin disappears. I tried copying the contents of my tlbskin.ini file, deleting the file, creating a new one, pasting in the settings, and still no dice. What's going on here?

The only relevant system info I can think of to include is that I'm running Windows 2000 with SP3 and my TLB hasn't been registered (yet...).

Oh, and I also tried manually editing the settings.ini file to say:

SkinFile=C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\SKINS\P1MP\tlbskin.ini

Where "P1MP" is the name of my skin (and the directory it's in).

That didn't work either.

haha I knew it had to be something ###### on my part. I was opening the file to cut and paste it and I noticed the version value was set to 1, so I changed it back to 2, and lo and behold, the skin shows up! I remember thinking that version meant the version of the skin and never went back and changed it once I learned otherwise. I really appreciate your prompt offer to help. I am definately going to register now. Big Grin
