Other links: Apollo player Winamp 2.x/3.x Winamp 2.x Plugin Manager for Winamp 3 - Qrt - 09-09-2002 Maybe it's me, but why do Winamp start every time I use the Winamp Control? Is this necessary? - Yuri Kobets - 09-10-2002 Winamp starts once when you press any button on plugin at first time. If it starts every time then maybe you try to control Winamp3 but do not install Winamp 2.x Plugin Manager for Winamp 3. So install it and all will be right ![]() Edited By Yuri Kobets on Sep. 10 2002 at 17:20 - Qrt - 09-10-2002 Okay, well my Winamp only starts once, so it all seems to be working okay. For a minute I just thought that the Winamp Control could function without even starting Winamp, but now I see that if it could, it wouldn't be a control ![]() - Guest - 10-12-2002 is there any guide for skinning the winamp controller? i've got all the graphics but i'm having problems with adding the vol and time display. - shapeshifter - 10-12-2002 I don't know of a guide, but if you explain what trouble you're having, maybe I can help. - baldahin - 10-15-2002 How to make song title more clear? ![]() - shapeshifter - 10-15-2002 Baldahin: There's a few things you could try. You could pick a different skin for the winamp controller from the TLB website. There are a bunch available, and maybe one would work for you. If you find a skin you like, but it's too big to fit on your taskbar, you can put it inside a menu (see topic here), or you can make the icons of your TLB bigger, which makes the whole taskbar bigger. To do this, right click on an icon on TLB, then select Appearance, then Large icons. This will make the TLB icons 32x32. For other sizes (i.e. 24x24, 48x48, or whatever you want), you need to add them to the TLB metrics. To do this, open up your TLB Settings menu (Right click on any icon -> TLB Settings...) and click the Metrics tab. Towards the bottom, you'll see a section labeled Additional Icon Sizes. (I'm too lazy to do a screen shot, and I don't think this is complicated enough for one ![]() But, if you're like me, you want maximum functionality in minimum space. Meaning you want a winamp control with a display you can read at all times without having to enlarge your taskbar. If that's the case, your only other option, as far as I can tell, is making your own skin. I haven't been able to find any sort of guide for doing this, so I guess I'll just have to write my own. I'll make it a new topic under General Discussion, so watch for it. - baldahin - 10-16-2002 I found it!!! ![]() in SilverXP skin! |
