Weather Forecast v5.0 is released for True Launch Bar

Changes:
* Switched to the Yahoo! Weather weather forecast provider
* Changed the skins format
* Some minor changes

Hi!

Now it only shows the forecast for 2 days (today and tomorrow). Is this normal?

Yes, officially Yahoo gives 2 days forecast only.

But... a small hack will give you 5 days Wink

Hi Yuri,

Tried changing the parameter in the XML file but didn't work. Still 2 days.

My code is 744651 (which is for Oeiras, Portugal).

You don't need to change XML file. You have to take POXX0082 from XML file and set it as your location ID in the Weather Forecast properties.

Yuri, thanks a lot for updating the Weather Forecast plugin promptly. As a Russian native speaker (yes, I am), I would like to offer some help in providing proper Russian translations for weather terms as reported in the Weather.com forecasts (such as 'Fair', 'Mostly Cloudy', 'Scattered T-Storms', 'Haze', 'AM Snow Showers', 'Clouds Early / Clearing Late', etc.). So if you feel interested in that, do let me know how I can reach you via the Internet.

How do you force an update? I've tried right-clicking an selecting 'refresh' but it doesn't update...

you should install this new version 5.0 and "refresh" will work

Yuri,
Since my message hasn't been answered am I right in thinking that you're not going to make any changes/corrections to the Russian names of weather conditions as seen in the Russian version of the Weather Forecast plugin 5.0? Many weather conditions are still displayed either completely untranslated or translated into Russian inconsistently/incorrectly.

To supply (almost) all the Russian translations I just need to know if the original weather conditions names come from the METAR codes or you get them already interpreted from METAR into plain English in the xml file from Yahoo (previously from the Weather Channel website). I have collected a list of most original weather conditions names found in weather forecasts from the Weather Channel and/or Yahoo Weather. If needed, I can supply the Russian translations for the METAR codes too but the METAR codes give a large amount of combinations so the translation list would grow significantly (and obviously not all the METAR codes are used there, if any).

Of course, if you think Прояснение is an adequate term for the English 'Fair', Обильный снег for 'Snow Showers' (just to mention few) and so on, well, then it's your plugin and you can treat the Russian language in it as you like.

Hi, I reinstalled Windows 7 and latest version of TLB.

But there is a problem, I can't install Weather Forecast skin: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://ethsza.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2l0r6m">http://ethsza.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2l0r6m</a><!-- m --> (download .zip there).
Skin Installer does not see Stripe Weather Forecast folder.

I think this is because of "Changed the skins format"?

How do I install this Weather Forecast skin again?

I just reinstalled wf
I typed in my zip to find my city code and click on find button, the program seems to lockup and nothing happens.
is there another way to find my city code? my zip is 30168
