I think it is visually nicer to have fonts shadowed rather than glow effected on a full transparent background.
Yuri, would you mind adding that feature in visual preferences?

The glow was selected because it makes font more readable (see attached image). But I agree, the shadow is visually nicer

Thank you, I agree with you about readability of glow. But, it is visually not good. Maybe you can add some features like; inlined (dual colored) fonts/texts, mouse-over effects etc.?
