Hi!

I'm using your nice TrueLaunchBar (registered) also with the Weather plugin. It seems to me that the plugin tries to connect to the web directly after login (I'm using W2k), when explorer.exe is launching. During each login procedure I always get the message box that the Internet Explorer isn't able to set up a connection to the internet and asks me if I want to continue in Offline mode or try it again. After pressing the "try again" the weather plugin starts processing the few cities I'm watching to. Being online and logging in again right after logging out also pops up that offline msgbox.

Is there any way to
1) 'pause' the execution before the weather plugin connects to the internet
2) speed up establishing the internet connection directly after login
???
Or is there something else I can do or I just overlooked??? ???

Which connection type have you selected under properties/connections and units?

There are three types of connections? Did you try Always online (LAN)

Also it is always helpful to post your system details such as below

Windows Version: Microsoft Windows XP Professional version 5.1.2600
Service Pack 1
Shell Version:6.0.2800.1145
Internet Explorer Version: 6.0.2800.1106

Hmm ... okay, I will post my machine config when I'm back home tonight ...

You think "always LAN" isn't the correct setting? I better should use "Use Internet Explorer settings" ...? Sad

I'll test this tonight ... and report here again.

"Use Internet Explorer settings" has been known to be a bit buggy. Go with cmishima's suggestion.

'kay.

I've changed it in each used weather plugin from "always LAN" to "use Internet Explorer settings" and it works, both after logging in again and rebooting!

Nevertheless here's my version list (told by AIDA):
Windows 2000 Pro v5.00.2195 SP3
IE 5.00.3502.1000
shell32.dll v5.0.3502.5436
