I keep finding it would be VERY helpful is there was a (1) Menu Option; AND (2) Keyboard Option to open the SELECTED (or DEFAULT) item in the Associated Application.

Sorry, I don't understand what do you want to open? Items are just text or images. Applications usually work with files.

If you click the clipboard dropdown and have the LIST of stored clip items and you want to "OPEN" one which is an IMAGE how do you do? You first either must click the item to store as active item in clipboard and then open the associated program to then paste in to view/modify. OR you have to perform a "save as", assuming it is an image, if it is text there is no option to save the specific clipboard item text. Regardless, you then need to after saving click on that item in the associated location to open in the appropriate program.

I'm requesting that you can open directly that clipboard item in it's associated application type or there was an option in the right-click popup where "Open with (Application)" like in Explorer.

See Image for Example Concept (it is just an idea and a quick cut-and-paste together for the visual).
