I'm missing something about the use of the translation tool to change English text to different English text. I used it to open the mailmon project files (All Dialogs) and did some minor editing to test it. I saved the translation file (mailmon.xml) to my own TLB folder (in langs\1033) and to the C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\langs\1033 folder, and when I open mailmon.xml, I see all of the original texts and the translations, but the TLB doesn't seem to be reading the translation file. Nothing in English that I altered has been changed in the Mail List window dialogs.

Can you tell me what I'm missing? Do I have to reinstall TLB? I didn't have a langs folder in my custom TLB folder or in C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar, so I created both langs folders. I may have deleted langs long ago if it was there (I can't remember). Could that be part of the problem I'm having?

(This came up because I was trying to change "There are no new messages" in the mailmon tooltip to something else. You suggested that I use the translation tool, but then you remembered that "There are no new messages" is hard coded, and you offered to change that in the next version of mailmon.)

Hi,
i got true lounch bar v5.6 from a few hours, and I love it yet! :)
I have just a question: how can I get both "icon & text" style and "just icon" style
in the same menu?

I mean something like the image in attach (that comes from true launch bar website).

In the image you can see programs, games, control panel ecc in "icon & text" style
and internet browsers in a "just icon" stile.

How is it possible?

:D Version 4.4.1x is working very well and the following version will become a great tool again ...

:?: but in RC3 I've a problem not existing in RC2 (i've installed and uninstalled several times on different PCs for testing in Windows 7, problem does not appear in Vista or XP): The Icons from the ==> [b]original [/b]taskbar <== disapears (not from true launch bar, all there are visible) and become ALL 100% transparent after about 15 to 20 minutes of work, but all are still full in funktion and working. I mean this Icons beeing linked in [color=#0000FF]%sysdrive%\Users\%user%\AddData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\Taskbar[/color], the Icons beeing linked in [color=#FF0000]%sysdrive%\Users\%user%\AddData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch[/color] NOT disapear!!!

Having tested on different PCs with different hardwareconfigurations I see no reason for this problem. Anybody knows anything?

This is impossible to make the toolbar that 100% looks like the desktop toolbar. Actually selecting the desktop folder (/Users/martin/Desktop) as TLB toolbar folder is not recommended because TLB creates there some internal files in the toolbar folder (on the desktop in your case).

The menu is the only way to show all desktop icons. In addition you can setup toolbar to show the menus without click (on mouse hover). And the free space on the toolbar you can use for something other. TLB gives much more ways to organize your workspace.

There are some changes in the last beta version. I've attached the complete sources for SDK, universal player and all players support.

In the ZIP file:
Default Player - universal player sources
MCSDK - Media Control SDK (header file)
Players - plugins for players

Some words about the players support. Usually to support some player MC require two parts. The first part is the dll for MC like the uniplayer.dll (must be placed in the players2 folder). The second part - plugin (add-in) the player (Winamp). The installation of the player plugin depends of the player.

For some player (like iTunes) the second part can be omitted.

So what is the Universal player in MC? It is just an unified way to control other player via the player plugin (the second part). The controlling messages for universal player can be found in the mcsdk.

Earlier this week I posted about giving the ability to support sidebar functions in Win7 to TLB, but you pointed out that it could already be used as a sidebar so I checked this out.
You are of course correct it does function as a sidebar and very nicely I might add, but what I'm looking for is a sidebar replacement for the Vista sidebar that no longer works in Win7 so that I can pin Windows gadgets to it.
Even though I really like TLB, the plugins don't have the look and some the functionality that I'm looking for on the sidebar (I do use at least one of the plugins on the taskbar though), so would it be possible in a future release to add a feature to make the TLB sidebar function as a placeholder for Windows gadgets in Win7. :?:

I've somehow managed to replace the default toolbar w/ my desired one. Thanks for your help, will use it if and when necessary in the future.

Hello Yuri,

I have a connection problem with the Weather Forecast Plugin v2.1 for 64-bit TLB.
The weather is not automatically updated and when I try to change the location ID it says "A connection with the server could not be established".
The last time it updated was on 16th, July. Thats more than a week now. :(
