I'm using TLB 3.2.10 beta on WinXP Pro SP2, using Media Control plugin 4.2, with J. River Media Center 11 plugin 1.0.

I've noticed that the Media Control plugin is constantly using between 400-500 context switches per second for their threads under the Explorer.exe process. This is true even when the configured media player isn't running, and the plugin isn't in direct use at all.

By contrast, the Drive Space and Weather Monitor threads take less than 1 context switch per second each, most of the time.

I enjoy using the Media Control plugin, but I don't enjoy the relatively exorbitant CPU usage. Can this be remediated, or am I misinterpreting something here?

Meadia Control tracks when player will be started. If I'll set times to 1 sec. then you'll get 1 sec. delay after player start. MC threads don't takes many CPU time.

So they're voluntary context switches, not involuntary... Thank you for the reply.
