I want some of my shortcuts to be on the Windows 7 Taskbar as text only (no icon). Problem is, I can find no way to lengthen the string of text so it all shows; Details shows as D....

The option you need is: TLB Settings->Toolbar->Sizes->Meximum width of buttons with text. There are two sizes for small and large icons (even if you don't have an icon TLB uses the icon size).
