Yuri, can you change one thing in the mail plugin?

Can you give us the option of going sub minute-checking sessions?

The lowest time I can check my email is every 1 minute. Can you allow us to check every 5 or 10 seconds, too?

You could put a scroll bar in there shifting between minutes and seconds. Hot ####, I would love this.

I've always missed getting my mail instantaneously.
Your mail provider probably won't like it if you continuously check for mail every 5 seconds, which is 720 times per hour!... ???
I have to agree with Dracula. E-mail was never really designed to be instantaneous. If you are looking for instant communications, why don't you use one of the many instant messaging programs out there. This is exactly what they were designed for.

Just a thought.
Rick.
There is no justification for mail checking every 5 seconds. It's a silly request.

Hence the " The most retarded 'feature' request ever." title of the thread.

I realize it's not useful for everyone, but there are cases

While I understand your stance, I'd like to decribe my current situation as refutation.

I am a poor college student. I don't have a telephone. I don't have a cell phone.

As a result, I use email as my primary means of communication. Whenever I'm home, I'm checking email every minute.

When an email comes in, checking email every 20 seconds or so is a big plus for me, because it allows me to respond fast enough to get the other person's attention.

That's all. It might seem silly to some, but for me it's an aspect of TLB that I would greatly appreciate and use.

Why don't you use MSN messenger and let it nodify you when you recive a new e-mail. It does so more rapidly than usual e-mail programs and then there is no problem.

Because I don't use MSN messenger. Sad

And my messenger service is purposely disabled.
