how come it wont let me set an image for a virtual folder?

What do you mean by "set an image"?

this option is not available on a virtual folder's button ???

yes paticularly of the .mng variety perhaps???

BTW somebody know how to create MNG files?

Paint Shop Pro 8 definitely does MNG.

There's a decent list of apps with MNG support here and an excellent article about MNG here for those that want to know more.

its basically the same as gif in png type

there is a .mng resource here its got lists of mng editors, viewers and converters
