If you are going to use mail monitor with gmail check which setting you have gmail on.
If you choose delete on mail monitor but you have the default setting on gmail then your mail does *not* get deleted it's just archived. This confused the hell out of me for a while.

A quick request:
- CTRL+Q to mark the current message as read
That is the outlook express shortcut key. Maybe it should be configurable so users of other s/w can feel at home.
Can anyone else think of other shortcut keys that would be usefull?

- Show CC: field on the message tab
I'm sure others may think of reasons why they might like to see other fields so perhaps it could be more generally configurable.

Sam Hasler Wrote:- Show CC: field on the message tabSorry this is not documented but you can right-click the header on Message tab and select the fields you want to see.

ANy news on the next mail monitor version?
01-29-2005, 04:25 PM
I have Mail Monitor on my taskbar sitting next to several menus as I'm sure many others do.
When I am moving my mouse along that row of menu buttons it sometimes (for a split second) puzzels & annoys my that nothing happens when I hover over the Mail Monitor button. And then it just struck me, why shouldn't it behave like a menu!
The menu would have submenus for each of the filter folders Normal/Approved/Spam/Deleted, submenus for each account, and possably a submenu for unread mail. Each levels menu text would have the unread/total mails numbers as in top left pane of the standard interface. Opening the menus would open a submenu that looks like the right hand pane of the standard interface with columns for from/subject/size/date etc. although it would not be configurable directly the way that pane is, you could only interact with it as a menu. Clicking on a mail would open up the standard mail monitor with the dialog with that mail open in the message tab. Double clicking on the menus could also open up with that account/folder selected.

I'm sure it's been requested before but now with Yahoo, hot mail and Gmail going to Pop access. I have about 8-12 accounts to check.
Can Mail Monitor have some sort of mail account grouping (with collapse and expand) added. A spacer between account groups would make it much more readable.
At the moment one long list of multiple accounts on multiple servers is hard to read.
Thanks
