- Yuri Kobets - 06-10-2004 Quote:A trawl of MSKB produces this: Menu bar/Toolbar Missing in Windows Explorer and/or Internet Explorer so try it and see.this topic will not help. TLB is different type of toolbars. It can become if you'll make changes in the registry, but this is other case. The only thing that is correct - when TLB does not load afer restart - you have registry corrupt. To be sure that this is true try to close Quick Launch or open other standard QL toolbar and restart - your settings must be discarded. If new standard toolbar appears after restart then try to delete all plugins from TLB or even delete all buttons, maybe it crash explorer on restart and it do not save settings. Let me know if so. - ozxar - 06-17-2004 Well, if none of this works, check for unusual programs... i didn't notice until now, but today after i unistalled another taskbar extension called "Search Assistant", it now saves TLB and properly restarts with TLB fine ![]() - Yuri Kobets - 06-17-2004 Quote:i unistalled another taskbar extension called "Search Assistant"Yes! We've found one of them!!! - ozxar - 06-17-2004 hahaha.... who is one of them ![]() - Yuri Kobets - 06-17-2004 One of software that cause TLB not loading after restart. - Q Section - 06-17-2004 Hello ernstegon If your "Search Assistant" is not part of Microsoft (Microsoft has one and the other one is definitely spyware) then we seriously urge you to get rid of it. It can be a little difficult but you can obtain assistance here. Please let us know how it goes. Be seeing you - ernstegon - 07-04-2004 QSection Wrote:If your "Search Assistant" is not part of Microsoft (Microsoft has one and the other one is definitely spyware) then we seriously urge you to get rid of it. I seem to have this dreaded "Search Assistant" in my Toolbar in this computer but interestingly not in my second networked one. I will let you know, how it will come out. - nascar24 - 09-06-2004 I don't turn off at machine. Everything works great on this puter. When I turn on nothing in taskbar so I have to right click and go to toolbars and then click on TLB and it appears. Quick launch bar used to start but I unchecked it, no reason to have it on with TLB. So now nothing comes on. I unchecked quick launch in task bar and menu properties. I simply want TLV to load when puter starts. I read the thread, I only have the nosaves key in registry, not the other two. I haven't deleted it as others from that thread tried and it didn't work. I have XP Home, so can't go to gredit to see policy. - Yuri Kobets - 09-06-2004 After deleting "nosaves" value you must restart two times After the first restart TLB do not appear and after the second it must be all OK. Also this value can be not the only cause TLB do not start. If deleing of this value do not solve the problem try to set that value into 0 (zero). - cphilip - 09-21-2004 i, had same problem, deleting "NoSaveSettings" have resolve my problem, after only one restart :p thanks yuri ![]() - nascar24usa - 04-02-2005 ernstegon Wrote:Since a while my XP Pro does not wnat to load my True Launch Bar. Only the search Assistant and Quick Launch appear. I have to undo them manually and load TLB. I restored the System to an earlier time and reloaded TLB. No change. Any idea, what to do next? Me too, no go, won't load no matter, worked fine for 2 years - Yuri Kobets - 04-07-2005 nascar24usa What version of TLB do you use? If you are using v3.2.4 then read this topic. There utility that clear TLB registration. - shockme17 - 05-10-2006 i've installed truelauchbar, but when i try to load it bu selecting it under the toolbar menu, nothing happens.. i've tried everything mentioned earlier in the thread.. help please. - Yuri Kobets - 05-11-2006 Unfortunately the only way to fix this - using registry cleaners. You have some problems in the registry. No suggestion has been effective solving this problem, even tried technical support but they finally desisted helping me. I am now looking for a TLB replacement, since I got very accustomed to it. It's a shame, this was a very useful software. |
