- Michael - 07-17-2006 Will this issue ever be fixed? It is annoying. Michael - MentholMoose - 07-24-2006 yohn Wrote:When I use Control Panel as menu, and try to click on the any icon at this, I have message "Access to the specified device, path or file is denied". I have exactly the same problem at work (Win2000). It works perfectly at home with WinXP. The only way to open it is right-click the icon and then select "Open". I have this problem in the control panel with Virtual Folder. If i drag & drop the Sounds and Devices in a non-virtual folder, it works correctly. Can you fix this problem as soon as possible. Thanks! - Yuri Kobets - 07-24-2006 Please can you test this version: http://download.truelaunchbar.com/test/tlb4001.zip Installation: close TLB log off/log on, replace tlb.dll in the installation folder. I've reproduced the bug when nothing runs on menu item click. But I can't to reproduce "Access to the specified device, path or file is denied" message. But maybe this is the same bug. Please test the fixed version and tell me about results. Thank you. - MentholMoose - 07-25-2006 Yuri Kobets Wrote:I've reproduced the bug when nothing runs on menu item click. I still have the problem (Access to the specified device, path or file is denied). The only applet that can be called without problem in the control panel is "Add/Remove Programs" and "Folders Options". The other one, i have to right-click and then select Open in the shell menu. I don't know if it can be the problem, but i have Windows 2000 SP4 French. Regards. - Michael - 07-25-2006 Possibly I have found another factor influencing the bug: The problem seems to be bound to files opened indirectly by means of some application. Text files, images and control panel applets are affected, application shortcuts apparently are not. Background: Thanks to TLB I have not a single application icon on my desktop. But there are many text files and folders containing other files types I frequently want to open. They all share the known problem if I try to open them using TLB. When I put a shortcut to Paint.exe on my Desktop, this shortcut is the only menu entry in the Desktop folder in TLB that can allways be opened with the first try. Remark: Control panel applets are indirectly opened as well as text files and pictures. COnclusion: The bug seems to be bound to files which are located in virtual folders and need to be indirectly opened using some application. Michael - Michael - 07-26-2006 Sorry, looks like I was wrong. The Paint.exe shortcut didn't work a few seconds ago. Michael - Yuri Kobets - 08-03-2006 Please test this version this version. I hope now the bug is fixed. - MentholMoose - 08-04-2006 It works perfectly now. ![]() I can open my applet in the control panel with Windows 2000! - Yuri Kobets - 08-04-2006 \ ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for testing. - Michael - 08-09-2006 Yuri Kobets Wrote:Please test this version this version.Yes, it seems to work on my system, too.
