See the screenshot below...

I entered a filename, closed the settings, rebooted the computer and verified that the sound setting was still correct.

However I've never heard the file playing: as soon as the specific rule is applied, only a default beep is heard and then the setting is corrupted.

Sometimes the entire field is replaced by the 2 blocks, sometimes only the first 2 characters are replaced.

Just wondering, does anyone have the same problem? Sound in filter settings gets corrupted when played.

Just create a simple filter that only plays a specific sound-file when 'To' contains your own e-mail address...

I cannot reproduce this bug Sad

I can't reproduce this, either.

Ok, I'm still not giving up! I have tried several more configurations, and it seems that only a certain combination of settings causes the problem... to make things easier Wink

Could anyone please test this:
* Create a new filter with rule: 'subject' contains 'qwerty'
* Specify a custom sound
* Save it to folder
* Mark as spam
* Check "Mark as read (no notify)"
* Check "Delete from server"

Now it should look like the screenshot above.

Now send yourself a message with 'qwerty' in the subject and check for new mail in MailMonitor... and the sound setting should be lost...

Sorry, Dracula, I still can't get a failure. I set everything up exactly like you said (though the first time I tested was very close to this configuration, anyway), but no dice. Here's what hapens for me:

I change my filter settings to match yours, then open up my email client (Outlook) and send myself an email with the offending subject line. Then I close Outlook and tell Mail Monitor to "check mail now". It displays the animated icon for about half a second or so, then it returns to my default icon. No sound is played, and when I check the sound setting in the dialog box, everything is exactly as I left it; none of the setting are corrupted.

Quote:No sound is played

The idea is that when this specific filter rule applies, it plays a sound, but that sound setting gets corrupted before it is played...

But why doesn't it play the sound on your pc, while the setting is still correct???

Maybe I should just try some other configuration until it works Smile

OK. I've reproduced this bug. Thanks.
