- Q Section - 03-20-2004 Up until now we have not installed Media Control but we thought we would take it for a spin literally! It installed (v3.1) but it does not work. We have it set for Windows Media Player and when we click on any button nothing happens except when we click on Eject WMP appears on the screen. We have been trying this with a CD already in the CD player. Yes we closed the TLB and restarted it but to no avail. Any ideas? - Yuri Kobets - 03-20-2004 Do you install support for WMP? Also what is version of WMP do you use? - Q Section - 03-20-2004 Sorry - we intended to include that information. We have the latest version - 9.00.00.3008. We are not sure what you mean "install support for WMP". - ozxar - 03-20-2004 QSection : Go to the directory of the plugin i.e. C:\Program Files\TrueLaunchBar\Plugins\Mediactl Go into the folder SupportPlayers then install WM_tlbRC.exe works fine in XP, not sure of 98 but should be good - Q Section - 03-20-2004 Well we did not know about the SupportPlayers folder. We do now! So......we clicked on WM_tlbRC.exe and it indicated that the best place to install was in the Windows Media Player folder. Is this correct or should it go in the Mediactl folder somewhere? TLB instructions are not clear. - ozxar - 03-20-2004 yes it should go into the players directory - Q Section - 03-20-2004 Media Control is still non-functional. The only thing we get out of it is clicking on the Eject button makes WMP appear on the screen. - ozxar - 03-20-2004 it seems to be a problem with 98, i just tried it on my 98 machine and no luck there - Q Section - 03-20-2004 ozxar Wrote:it seems to be a problem with 98,Sorry to hear that but it does make us feel a little bit better because we now know it is not our machine or lack of skills preventing MC from functioning! ??? |
