When I click the Play button, Media Player is launched, but beyond that, nothing happens. If I go to Media Player and start playing an MP3, I can't stop/fast forward/rewind via the plugin, either.
I installed the plugin and the remote control package for WMP, so I'm at a bit of a loss for what to try next.
Any ideas? Admittedly, it's not the end of the world if it doesn't work, especially since I'll have WMP on my desktop anyway.

Are you running it under Windows 98??

That'll teach me to hit submit when my phone is ringing; I knew I'd forgotten to include something.
Media Player is 8.0.0.4487 on XP, SP1.

have you tried updating WMP?
i have WMP 9 and it works fine
