Free Launch Bar - Yuri Kobets - 10-21-2004
Free Launch Bar - the lite version of True Launch Bar, has been released.
It is like TLB but:
* No plugins
* No skins
* No virtual folders
* some other restrictions
Free Launch Bar is completely FREE.

cool, this like a no frills version of TLB
but it crashed explorer when i tried to close the toolbar (only happened the first time it was running)

Looks like I registered too soon. FreeLaunchBar has exactly the pieces of the TLP featureset I use.
Still, I think it was money well spent to support the development of both products. With TLB, I was able to replace WinKey for my hotkeys and another toolbar app that was way too clunky to be practical, all with something that doesn't require running another program (or two) and the startup overhead associated with it.
