Hi,

Anyone else seeing the "Always on top" setting in TLB (latest release) not working?

I set it to be "Always on top" & yet at some point (it does work for a while) "Always on top" stops working (yet the pref is still checked)

Haven't figured out (yet) when it stops working. Maybe after reboot. Have to watch & see. Will report back when/if I find out.

I'm running win2k sp2.

Further info.

When I booted this AM, "Always on Top" (going to abbrev. to AOT going forward here) was set but wasn't effective.

I set AOT again, it worked for a while & now is not working again. (no reboot since booted this AM)

Still cannot reproduce this bug. Somebody have same bug? I have TLB on the top with AOT and do not have problems.

Interesting...

Even when AOT stops working, Apps respect TLB's boundaries when I maximize them. (ie. they don't overwrite TLB) Yet I can physically drag a window & cover up TLB when AOT stops working.

BTW. my TLB is docked on the right screen edge & is never moved.

Eric/Yuri, thanks for checking.

I'll keep an eye on it to see if I can find further clues.

BTW, can you try with std Quick Launch.
I just try Quick Launch and TLB some times both toolbar is not really on top. AOT will stop after click on toolbar. Strange... Sad

The matter is that I do not control AOT. This is standard Windows feature. I'll Try to make something...

Sorry for the delay. Traveling for work.

If I turn QLB on, it seems to respect the AOT setting.

Strangely, if I have a qlb & a tlb running at the same time (in this case tlb is docked on right & qlb is docked on left) the last one of the 2 with AOT set on, will respect AOT, while the other won't.

So If I have tlb set AOT & open qlb & set to AOT, qlb respects AOT, tlb does not. If I uncheck both, set qlb AOT first, then TLB AOT, TLB respects AOT & qlb does not.

Another case of M$ quality rearing its head??

Try to turn off Active Desktop. Here is information from MS:http://support.microsoft.com/directory/article.asp?ID=KB;EN-US;Q182472

Turn Off the Active Desktop
To turn off the Active Desktop, right-click an empty area on the desktop, point to Active Desktop on the shortcut menu, and then click to clear the check mark from View As Web Page.
