Pre-beta testing of 3.2.6.1 - Yuri Kobets - 06-08-2005

Please test this version

INSTALLATION:
1) Close all toolbars
2) Restart
3) replace tlb.dll

Espesially interesting how this version works with WindowBlinds and non-standard visual styles. There are also many changes in Arrange menu, and button properties.

Tlb.dll 326.1 - Texan - 06-09-2005

When I follow your instructions as outlined above, TLB does not launch.
Clicking on True Launch Bar does nothing.

Quick Launch does turn on, however.

I then have to re-install 3.26.0 to get TL back??

My system does not like your TLB.dll

Anyone else having this problem???

No problems here.

Texan - In other words -
Download the zip, close all TLB's, reboot computer, unzip file into your TLB folder, Yes to replace tlb.dll. Now right-click on the Taskbar and select Toolbars>True Launch Bar. How did it go?

- Unbeliever - 06-09-2005

this not going well for me

i have 3.2.6 and each time i close TLB explorer freezes and when i kill and relaunch it manually by running explorer.exe TLB starts too. then when i close TLB, explorer crashes and it goes on in circles. So basically i can`t even "install" 3.2.6.1

TLB 3.2.6 beta
Media plugin 4.2.0.0

You can use any other file manager or command prompt to copy file. Before copy kill explorer.exe using task manager.

Texan have problems with TLB in generally and with this version too. This is why I've published this pre-beta.

TLB 326.1 VS Explorer - Texan - 06-09-2005

I'm assuming there is something in this new version code that explorer doesn't like.......................I have had to give up on trying to upgrade from 326...........................

I even went into MSconfig; and disable ALL START up processes to minimize any conflict................but no luck....................

Yet there are some..................that have been able to upgrade???

- Dracula - 06-10-2005

Not a single problem, worked as advertised.

I noticed the new hotkey text, right-aligned inside the menu... of course *with* an option to disable it... very nice Smile

- Unbeliever - 06-10-2005

i managed to install it as Yuri suggested and that removable drive causing a crash seems to be fixed.

so far works fine Smile

where do i turn of the hotkey text Dracula? Looked but couldn`t find it >.<

However the hotkey to drives is not working no matter what key i chose Sad

Reproduced. Thanks. In the release this will be fixed.

How about problems on restart or closing TLB?

- Unbeliever - 06-10-2005

Code:
TLB Settings->Menu Appearance->Show menu item hotkey text

ugh. missed that even though i looked >.<

Code:

closing and adding TLB problem appears to be fixed Smile

i think the explorer crashing on shutdown problem has also been fixed. i restarted twice since i installed 3.2.6.1 and i`m not 100% sure but i think i didn`t get the "explorer.exe has crashed" dialog window

EDIT: I checked and the explorer crashing on system shut down bug has been fixed.

Great job Yuri! Smile

Hi,

The problem with Language still there...

It is possible to "protect" a menu rather then item on a menu?
I wish ordinary menu and visual folder can both be protected...
