TLB Clock Bugs - darklight_tr - 12-27-2006

TLB Clock Version: 1.3 (latest x64 release)
TLB Version: 4.1 (x64 version)

I noticed that when you hover over the clock, the popup shows the day twice.

Example: Wednesday Wednesday, December 27, 2006

Also there is not enough spacing to show the full day, month, day and year without trimming occurring.

EDIT: I noticed that the trimming problem on Wednesdays is being dealt with.

Here are some threads about this: [thread 1] [thread 2] [thread 3]

Thanks for the info.

I looks to me from the threads that the only solution is to edit the Regional and Language Options to eliminate the day from the Long Date. Is that correct?

I don't get what you mean by this:

Dracula Wrote:Use the date format as specified in the plugin's properties (or add another field for the balloon hint). I think this is the best solution, because the Regional settings are systemwide settings and these should not need to be changed just for TLB.

That was a suggestion to Yuri for a change to the Clock plugin that would fix this issue without forcing the user to change global system settings just for TLB Wink

The suggestion was that the "Date format" field that is already in the plugin properties was also used for the tooltip. Or that a separate "Tooltip date format" field was added.

For now, stick to the 1st option: change your system locale settings if the double date really bothers you...

Dumb question. Where's the regional settings for the clock?

- Dracula - 12-31-2006

In Windows classic mode:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options

There you can choose another country, or click the Customize button to change time and date formats.

In the TLB Clock v1.6 the bug with double week name must be fixed.

Is there any solution yet to the clipping each end of the date in the toolbar display when the name of the day and of the month are at their longest?

Just found a workaround myself. In the date format add spaces before and after the format definition. One space is probably enough, but you can add several without problems.
