- cmishima - 06-17-2002 I believe under certain circumstances it is not possible to Right Click and delete shortcuts i.e. {filename.lnk} within folders. If the link becomes invalid (say you have uninstalled the application) and you then try to RIGHT CLICK | DELETE Windows will not pop up the Right Click context menu but instead show you the [Problem with shortcut alert box] If the shortcut is on the True Launch Bar it then clears the alert and pops up the RC context menu and you can delete *however* if the shortcut is within a folder the Right click context menu is not show and the folder closes leaving the shortcut intact. Do you have the same message?Yes. I get the same message from within Explorer BUT after I clear the alert I can then delete the invalid shortcut. Here is the alert shown *after* RIGHT CLICK ![]() Here is the alert shown in the explorer window ![]() After clearing the alert the right click context menu is displayed and I can delete the invalid shortcut as shown ![]() The problem is that if this invalid shortcut is within a folder on True Launch Bar after clearing the alert the folder closes and the right click context menu does not display so I am not able to choose delete. :angry: - Yuri Kobets - 06-21-2002 Can you post screenshot of context menu? And maybe comment non standard items. I need to know what explorer extension show this message box to reproduce the bug. As temporary solution you can turn off shell's context menu from general tab. |
