Yuri,

Presently, I am using Rainlendar and have all my events in iCalendar Format.

Could you add iCalendar Format support?

Also, the option to change the categories to our own choices?

Thanks.

This is a great plug-in, but how can I make it even more tiny?

Calendar resizing - Grizzler - 10-01-2008

Jack

Maybe I can answer this one.
The skins have to be changed.
It's easy to do as follows:

Take one of the exisitng skins and copy all the files into another sub-directory. Take each of the .PNG files into an image programme and resize them larger or smaller.
Open the .INI file and change the name of the skin to whatever you want to call your new resized skin.
From there you will have to play around with the X and Y co-ordinates to postion the various image fils to be overlaid in the correct positions.

It is easy to reduce the calendar size to 50% of the existing 'tiny' dimensions, but at my age I need a magnifying glass to see it!

Regards Grizzler

Thnaks Grizzler.

Can you recommend a free tool I can use to do the resizing?

Also can you point me to where the defination of the information is located in .ini file. I will be looking around and searching the forum to see if I can find it.

Thanks:
Jack Allen

I was able to open the PNG files with MS Paint and there was an option to change the size. But it does not seem to keep all the atributes like transparency.

I was also able to locate the specifications for the INI file.

I will be searching the WEB for a program to change the size of the image in the PNG files.

Side note:
Is there a spell checker for the forum?

Thanks:
Jack Allen

Outlook synchronization - timschat - 10-08-2008

Wouldnt it be nice if this plugin synchronizes with the outlook calendar ?

For me, using Outlook is a MUST because it synchronizes with all other devices such as my mobile phone and my PDA.

Best,
Tim

The Calendar plugin is very good tool but I wish to describe some useful improvements.

The Calendar plugin could be a great replacement for the Rainlendar on the desktop. But to move all reminders and events from Rainlendar it would be very useful to support iCalendar format.

Another improvement that could be very useful is a week number. With some options how to enumerate weeks (look at Rainlendar for details, for example). Sometimes it is necessary to know what is a number of the current week or some further ones.

And in the current version of the Calendar plugin I do not see how to create an event/reminder for the last day of each month (i.e. 30 or 31 for common months and 28/29 for February). This feature could be nice too.
