News Reader v4.8 - Yuri Kobets - 09-15-2014
News Reader v4.8 is released for True Launch Bar.
This update adds the support for interactive tips presented in TLB v6.6.8 RC2. Turn on the interactive tips support in the plugin properties. With the interactive tips you can click any link in the news. Hold down CTRL key to keep the news reader opened when you click link/news.

The attached file shows the example HTML text for the News Reader tips. You can use these files to make the custom CSS files with your own appearance. To apply CSS file, add it in the TLB Settings->Tips->Appearance.

News Reader v4.8 crashes Windows Explorer when I use Google News RSS at http://news.google.com/news?pz=1&cf=all&ned=us&hl=en&output=rss . My other feeds are okay so far. The previous version did not crash with Google News RSS. I use Windows 7. Any idea why this is happening?

Quote:Any idea why this is happening?I've reproduced, thank you very much. The problem in TLB (not in news reader). RSS have the image with url "//t3.gstatic.com/images..." and TLB try to fetch it from local network, not via HTTP. I'll publish update shortly.

I just downloaded and installed TLB version 6.6.9 RC2. No problems with Google News now.
