No big deal but after download and install True Launch Bar reverts to Demo version and requires re-setup with registration key.

Was this intentional? Clears out the hackers Big Grin

Maybe the bug fix 'TLB become unregistered after restart ' is still around

Nobody reads the setup screens Sad

No, this is not a bug. You need to enter key again.

well yes I did but I have a system that refuses to accept the re-input of my registration key Sad

Input key - ok / reboot / back to demo version and 'yes' I do have a valid key because it works fine with the new TLB on my notebook but not my desktop. Still checking

Yuri, coincidentally I *have* read all setup screens, and I noticed a typo where it says "verion" instead of "version" in that particular screen that Doug must have missed...

Indeed I think it's almost useless these days to put warnings or useful tips in the setup screens, because most users are getting used to these kind of installers where you just click Next several times and it is installed...

Just count the number of questions on this forum about how to 'start' True Launch Bar after installation... even though the image in the setup explains more than we can describe in words...

Same applies to confirmation popups about "Are you sure you want to...?". The 4th time you see that message you automatically click Yes without even thinking...

* Dracula ends his ramblings, having forgotten what he was trying to say with this post

Please check the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\True Software\TrueLaunchBar\Registration

TLB must save keys there.

Unfortunately you are right Sad The why to make this installations? I can save some bandwidth if setup will show "Do you want install?" and install without questions Big Grin

Ok - you got me. Mea Culpa Big Grin

However don't you think it's confusing to have a forced registration reentry (system reverts to demo mode) together with a publicized 'fix for TLB become unregistered after restart' - They look like they are somehow related.

Anyway no problem now.

- Bob Freeman - 05-03-2005

Ah shucks, found it. I had Ad Aware blocking any registry changes and it kept resetting True launch back to to Demo mode. Thanks for the quick heads up Yuri.

BTW how about the bug with video files?
