Problems with 1.15:

1. Sound notify doesn't work.

2. Quick Reply doesn't work.

3. Sorting by date is working inconsistently. The reason is that the date header in e-mails received can be in different formats:
Format 1: Tue, 1 Nov 2005
Format 2: 1 Nov 2005
Format 3: (possibly others)

MM needs to convert the dates to the same format before doing a sort on the date field.

4. Sorting by date, descending (newest first), doesn't stick when the messages have different date formats (see #3).

What's nice:
- Messages (Quick Replies) that can't be sent will show in the inbox, very good!
- Better logging.

Opening the mail list window is still crashing on Windows 98. It's bringing the whole system down Sad.

(I keep the Open Mail List on mouse click option turned off and just use Mail Monitor for notification and then use webmail interfaces or Outlook Express. Been doing that since April when version 1.12 introduce this issue Sad)

Do you set the sound file? Is there "No sound between" option? And what times you've set.

"Unsupported command or command error"

Quote:1. Sound notify doesn't work.

It does work again now, after a system restart. What probably happend is this:
1. Killed explorer.exe
2. Installed MM update
3. Restarted explorer.exe

I thought I could avoid restarting WinXP this way, but apparently not, even if MM did show 1.15b and no complains. My fault anyway.

Currently reproduced bugs in version 1.15b:

* Impossible to send messages with size more then 1KB
* BSOD on Windows 98
* MM don't check the from field on quick reply. You need to set Name and email in the account properties to send messages.
* Some SMTP servers can reject messages because of incorrect To and From fields format.
* MM ignore connection type modem/IE settings

Sam Hasler, please try this version.

The crash on Windows 98 must be fixed. Let me know how it works.

Well I've been using for a while now, opening and closing it repeatedly, changing views and loading mails and it hasn't crashed yet. All appears to be working Big Grin thankyou thankyou thankyou

I did notice a minor cosmetic issue:
I have a gmail account with 350+ mails in it that MM knows about, so when I view that account the 2nd icon in the toolbar disappears and when looking at the Accounts or Normal mail view the 2nd and 3rd icons disappear, until all the entries have been added to the list, which can take 5+ seconds (I see the toolbar gradually shrink). Not really a usability issue apart from the fact that you can't switch to another view whist it's generating one of those.

However, if I leave it on one of those views when I close it then it also takes that amount of time before I see the window when opening it.

I forgot to mention that the gmail account is suspended in MM, so to clear it (unless I delete the account in MM) I have to wait till I can read through all those mails and archive them via the website and then turn the account back on and allow it to check mail before suspending it again.

In fact I'll probably just delete the account because I have another gmail account that I could clone if I want to reinstate it. However there is another account which I have suspended that I would like to clear the emails it remembers out of. Is it safe to delete them and they won't get deleted from the server? (It's not my account, it's one that I am occasionally asked to monitor, so I really don't want to lose any mails from the server)

I notice that Cloning accounts is only available from the mail list window via a right click context menu for the accounts, but not in the properties window.

(I wider look at right click context menus might be worthwhile. Delete spam and delete dangerous, should perhaps be on their folders context menus. And I'm not sure that add account makes sense everywhere it appears.)

Also, the properties window is only available from MMs taskbar right click context menu, not from the mail list window which would be handy.

It would also be nice to have tooltips or status bar help when hovering over the buttons to explain what they are.

Explorer Crashed! Confusedhock:
I deleted the account via the properties window with the mail list window still open. It removed the mails from the counts but left the account I deleted in the list. Clicking on it in the mail list caused Explorer to crash and restart.
