I have noticed for sime time that my cpu usage is sitting at around 40%, the two offending tasks are explorer.exe and the dreaded svchost.exe.

Its only recently that I tried shutting down truelaunch bar and discovered that the cpu usage drops back to normal i.e 1-2%

Has anyone else experienced this and if so are there any fixes ?

What is your Windows version? What plugins do you use?

If you are using Mail Monitor then try to set connection type into LAN or MODEM for every account.

Just for info the plugins i'm running are:
weathermon, uptime, networkmon and drivespace

OS is Windows XP home 2002 Service pack 1
